Just when I thought I was over fandom, having spent unacceptable amounts of time on HP fan fiction, I have found another fandom to occupy what little time to myself I have. And now I'm asking myself - am I gonna have to fight this addiction for the rest of my life?

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in, and now I find myself watching Star Trek on YouTube, and browsing the Voyager section of fanfiction.net. Godammit.

I'm even starting to understand the tech-speak - tricorder (sp?), plasma core, holographic projection, warp threshold, etc, etc, etc. And the comments left by Youtubers are sometimes as interesting as the episodes themselves.

And by now I've gone to a higher level of obsession. You know you've gotten sucked in the ST fandom when you:
- start writing ST fanfiction
- do some video-editing, combining footage with funny music
- have memorised a lot of funny one-liners, or even entire scene dialogue
- when you seriously consider getting one of these: [link]

*Sigh* How long it'll take to get out of this phase, I don't know. Though with the later seasons of Voyager being not-as-exciting-as-the-first-few, I'm hoping I might ease out of it within a month or so. But maybe I'm being overly optimistic.
